Cambria Quartz Countertop Installation

You’ve selected and ordered your dream Cambria design. While there is a time and a place for DIY, installing your quartz countertops is not one of them. That’s why we recommend professionals from our network of fabricators and installers do it for you. To ensure a smooth installation day, they need to measure your space and account for all custom areas. We’ll go over the steps of the process below.

Measurement

A technician will first visit your home to take measurements of your space to customize your countertops accurately. The technician will handle all the details; but you’ll need to properly prepare for your visit.

To prepare for the appointment:

  • Ensure cabinets or other supporting structures are installed. If you have any questions about support requirements, consult your installation associate before the appointment.
  • Clear all items off your existing countertops.
  • If you’re getting all new fixtures and appliances or keeping your current ones, have them on-site for accurate cutouts and fitting.
  • Provide model numbers for any appliances that can’t be on-site.
  • Have the project decision-maker there during the measurements.

By following these steps, you’ll help prevent any unnecessary obstacles or delays with the installation of your beautiful new countertops.

Customization

Once measurements are known, a custom blueprint is created to determine the ideal flow and pattern continuity. Following the blueprint, a Cambria-approved fabricator will shape and cut the slab with your chosen design and edge profile, making cutouts for the sink, faucet, and cooktop as needed. All pieces are pre-fitted and inspected before arriving at your home.

Installation

Your professional partner will contact you to schedule the installation appointment. On the day of the appointment, the Cambria partner installer will professionally place or install your countertops. The duration varies by project, so discuss the estimated time with your partner in advance.

To prepare for the installation:

  • Confirm with your professional partner that all coordination details with the installer and other professionals, like plumbers, are handled.
  • Arrange for existing countertops to be removed; the installer won’t remove them unless specified in the purchase agreement.
  • Have sinks, faucet fixtures, and appliances available for proper cutout verification.
  • Declutter your space, clearing walkways and removing items from counters, floors, and cabinets.
  • Have the project decision-maker there during installation.

Cambria Countertop Installation FAQs

How can I prepare for my installation day?

Prepare for your new countertops by reviewing the Cambria Installation Day Checklist.

Is my Cambria slab going to look exactly like the samples that I received?

The design sample is a small select cut from a slab; it does not fully exhibit all the design characteristics of the final installed product. We recommend visiting a local gallery or slab showroom to see a full slab.

What kind of sink can I use?

Cambria can be used with any under-mount or drop-in sink, including stainless steel, cast iron, porcelain, solid surface, or farmhouse.
